Tarrington “Tara”
2004 Black Trakehner OSB mare
Two hind white socks and a star
Tara is one of the first foals of the exciting young stallion Kovington. She is everything we could of hoped for in this cross. She is elegant and substantial, with a beautiful topline and face. Her gaits are buoyant and balanced, using her hind end well. She is very personable and inquisitive, with a very energetic spirit. Tara is an absolute joy to work with because she shares her father's (and mother's) wonderful temperament. With each new thing introduced to her, she behaves as if she's done/seen it a million times. She has been started undersaddle and is everything we hoped for and more. This wonderful mare is my next competition horse and I can't wait to get her "out there"!
Bloodlines Tara is by the exciting young stallion Kovington out of our Oldenburg Verband approved Trakehner mare Tahary. Kovington qualified for the 2003 5-year old FEI Young Horse National Championships, was selected as a demonstration horse for Kyra Kyrklund National Dressage Symposium, and was selected for the USET developing young horse clinic with Klaus Balkenhol in Florida in 2004. He regularly earns 8s and 9s on gaits. Her dam sire is the full brother to Arogno, sire of Anky van Grunsven's Trakehner mount Partout. Her granddam is a designated "exceptional" mare for having produced two approved stallions and she was awarded State Premium and the Silver Medal of the German Riding Horse Federation. Tara's bloodlines include Enrico Caruso and Mahagoni (sire of Olympic dressage stallion Peron).
